Time Off

Working Hypothesis

Well after last Tuesday’s training runs, more intervals and hilly ones at that, around Hexham I’ve had a forced lay off. Work intervenes, with tender dealines of 12:00 Monday means working all weekend and every evening last week except Tuesday. This of course doesn’t do well for next weekend’s Hexhamshire Hobble.

Sometimes these enforced lay offs do you good, honest! I wish I was joining you at the weekend. I’d definitely struggle with those hills. Good luck and have fun.

Any old excuse, you couldn't make it up I tell you.

  3. tuff old jock says:

Rest is important. If the race is next weekend, the training is actually over. You can enjoy staying loose with very light workouts and do better than if you pushed the final days. Have fun!
