Fell Race : Forestburn Gate

The first of the Northumberland agricultural show based fell runs of the season (for me at least) is tomorrow Sunday 8th August at 14:00. Hoping that this one will be a relatively easy entry into the game. Its short and steep from what I remember from last year. 3.5 miles and 500′ of climbing. OS Map of route over on the NFR site.

Some of those contour lines look very close together!

From what I remember from last year they are representative! It was one my first fell races last year and it was blazing hot. I don’t think that’s going to be too much of a problem this year.
